Most barbershops in Raleigh close at 5:00 or 6:00 PM. The Dominicans Barbershop stays open until 9:00 PM - every single day. That means you can get a fresh cut after work, after school, or after dinner, whenever it fits your schedule.
We've been open with extended hours since 2006. Our founder, Joseph Mejia, understood that not everyone can get a haircut during business hours. Professionals, students, parents - everyone has different schedules, and we accommodate them all.
With 24 barbers on the floor and doors open until 9:00 PM, there's always time for a cut. We're at 3601 Capital Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27604. Walk-ins welcome. Cuts from $35, fades from $40.
Our extended hours
We're open from 8:40 AM to 9:00 PM, 7 days a week - Monday through Sunday. That's over 12 hours of operation every day, giving you plenty of flexibility to get a cut when it works for you.
Our most popular after-work hours are 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. During this window, we have a full team of barbers on the floor, so wait times stay short even though it's busy. If you want to avoid the after-work rush, come between 8:40 AM and 11 AM, or between 2 PM and 5 PM.
We never close early. If we say we're open until 9:00 PM, we're open until 9:00 PM. You can walk in at 8:30 PM and still get a cut - though we recommend coming by 8:15 PM to ensure enough time for a full service.
Why after-work haircuts make sense
Getting a cut after work has several advantages: no need to take time off, less crowded than Saturday mornings, you start the next day fresh, and it's a great way to decompress after a long day.
Many of our regular clients have a standing after-work appointment - same day, same time, same barber. It becomes a routine, like going to the gym. And with 24 barbers, we can accommodate your schedule whether you prefer 5 PM, 6 PM, or 7 PM.
If you work Downtown, on New Bern Ave, or in North Raleigh, we're a short drive away on Capital Blvd. Come straight from work, get a fresh cut, and head home looking sharp.
